Intelligence with a youthful persona, Tansley received her Honours degree in Fine Art at the University of Guelph where she specialised in painting. A self-proclaimed visionary, Tansley’s love of both music and play explores as many media as possible from dance to painted ethereal scenes. In 2013, she participated in exhibitions of pottery at the Burlington Art Centre and a Pastels Group Exhibition at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga.
Although this is her first summer offering these workshops in St. Catharines, Tansley has worked at summer craft camps through the Waterloo Board of Education and offering private lessons at her home in Guelph. Apprenticed in fabric arts through Opulence Silks and Dyes in Deep Cove, BC. and set painting for the film industry, she taught stained glass in her home and watercolour painting at night school through the Wentworth Board of Education.
Tansley would strive to provide a safe learning environment where children have opportunities to express their highest potential of creativity through the following: song, dance, storytelling, skits, constructing fairy houses, musical instrument jamming, painting and pastel drawing.
Campers will spend some time outside. Please provide a nut-free snack, lunch, beverage, hat, and sunscreen. Drama activities are excellent for self-discovery and developing social skills in a playful, non-stressful way. Workshops last for the whole summer from July to August or one week only. Program Includes mask-making and scrapbooking.
